Our Vision

Our vision is that every Huruma child will feel loved, valued, and have hope for the future.

Our mission is to raise awareness and provide financial support for the Huruma Children’s Home located in the Ngong Hills, Kenya.

Kenyan children are born into a world consumed by poverty, poor health, HIV/AIDS, and widespread unemployment.  Many children are left without parents.  Others have parents who, due to health and financial crises, are unable to care for them.

Huruma Children’s Home in Ngong Hills, Kenya, is a haven for such children.  Newborns through high school students are given a second chance.   While each child has a unique story, experiences of hunger, homelessness, abuse, and neglect are all too common. each tell a story.  Whether they have watched their parents die from AIDS, been beaten, abandoned or so many stories of pain and suffering, nearly every Huruma child has suffered trauma.

The remarkable thing about these children is their resiliency!  Through the care and support they receive at Huruma Children’s Home, they relearn an inspiring capacity to love and care for each other.

In knowing and loving these children, the members of our organization have learned something very important.  Children long to be known, to feel connected, and to know that they matter.

Today, we ask you join us in this endeavor.  By investing in a child’s future, you can communicate to a child that he or she matters and that his or her life has great value.

The formula is simple, but the impact is significant:

imprint love. inspire hope. change lives.
